We all need ways to connect, collaborate, and make the world a little brighter, and what better way to do that than through creativity, shared experiences, and amazing company?

About Us

Hola! I’m Rocio, originally from Spain, and I’ve been living in London since September 2024. Before that, I studied Product Design in Edinburgh, where I discovered my love for creating with all kinds of materials—wood, clay, paper, you name it! During my course, I started my Instagram account (lupa.lux) to showcase my DIY projects, experimenting with different techniques and ideas. Creativity has always been a big part of my life, and sharing it with others has become my passion.

How it Started

It all started with a desire to create something meaningful with my passion for hands-on creativity. I had always wanted my Instagram account to have a purpose, but finding a clear focus wasn’t easy. Moving to London brought new challenges: meeting people and building a community in such a big city was difficult, and I often felt a little lonely. I soon realized that this struggle wasn’t just mine—many people find it hard to make friends and connect in a new city. That’s when the idea for Lupa Lux began to take shape.

I decided to focus my social media on a specific technique that could grow into something bigger. When I started experimenting with the technique of decoupage, I launched Arts & Chats — small, themed creative events. The concept is simple: provide a space where people can come together, explore their creativity, and enjoy the process—no prior experience required.

The goal behind all of this is to bring joy and a little creative escape into people’s lives, whether at an event, through DIY kits, or with one of my handmade products. I want to make creativity accessible and fun for everyone and share that sense of happiness and accomplishment with others.

Our Purpose

Arts & Chats includes helping the community in every project. Each event aims to inspire creativity, bring people together, and support charities like Spread a Smile. This way, art and community support work together to create meaningful experiences that give back. With every sale a portion of the money goes directly to Spread A Smile, a charity that brings joy to hospitalized children through creative activities. Every event and product is connected to this cause, so while people are having a relaxing, fun experience doing something creative and enjoying a nice time, they’re also helping to bring smiles and creativity to children who need it most. It’s a way to connect my love of making things with a bigger purpose: Spreading joy and fostering community, both near and far.
