Hi, I’m Rocio!
Originally from Spain and now based in London since September 2024, I’ve always been drawn to creativity and bringing people together.
I studied Product Design in Edinburgh, where I discovered my love for working with different materials and creating by hand. Over time, that passion naturally grew into something more than just making — it became about sharing the experience with others.
That’s how Arts & Chats came to life: a space built from passion and love, with the intention of growing a warm, creative community where people can connect, slow down, and enjoy making something together.
How it Started
It all started with a desire to create something meaningful from my passion for hands-on creativity.
Moving to London brought a new layer to that journey. Like many people in a big city, I found it challenging to meet others and build a sense of community. That experience made me realise how common this feeling is — and sparked the idea behind Lupa Lux.
As I began experimenting with decoupage, everything started to fall into place. I launched Arts & Chats as a series of small, themed creative events designed to bring people together through making. The idea is simple: a welcoming space where anyone can explore their creativity, switch off, and enjoy the process — no experience needed.
At its core, this project is about creating moments of connection and joy. Whether through events, DIY kits, or handmade pieces, my goal is to make creativity feel accessible, relaxing, and genuinely enjoyable — something that adds a little spark to everyday life.
Our Purpose
Arts & Chats is built around the idea that creativity can bring people together — and give back at the same time.
Each event is designed to inspire connection, encourage creativity, and create a sense of community. Alongside this, a portion of every ticket and product is donated to Spread a Smile, a charity that brings joy to children in hospitals through creative and engaging activities.
This means that every experience is part of something bigger. While people take time to relax, create, and connect, they are also contributing to moments of happiness for children who need it most.
At its heart, Arts & Chats is about more than just making — it’s about sharing joy, fostering community, and using creativity as a way to make a positive impact.
